The terms that apply when you use the monobank.com website or the MONOBANK mobile application.
Thank you for using MONOBANK. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) describe the basis on which we make the monobank.com website and the MONOBANK mobile application available to you. Please read them carefully — by accessing the website or installing, opening, or using the app, you agree to these Terms.
When we say “MONOBANK”, “we”, “our”, or “us” in this document, we are referring to Monobank Inc. (“MONOBANK” is a trademark of Monobank Inc.).
When we say the “Services”, we mean only:
- the monobank.com website and any of its subdomains we operate, and
- the MONOBANK mobile application for iOS and Android, including any updates and successor versions.
We do not run any other product, brand, or website under these Terms.
When we say “you” or “your”, we are referring to the person accessing the website or using the app.
Who we are
MONOBANK is a financial technology company building a mobile-first digital finance app focused on onboarding, account access, card management, payments, and everyday money control.
MONOBANK is not a bank, exchange, or asset custodian, and does not hold customer deposits directly. Where the Services involve regulated financial activity — including accounts, cards, or payments — those activities are provided by, or in partnership with, licensed institutions and authorized providers in their respective jurisdictions, subject to their own terms.
The Services are made available on a staged basis, by market and by phase. Some features are designed for, or planned for, later releases and may not be available to you at any given time.
Eligibility and accounts
- To use the Services, you must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction and legally able to enter into a binding agreement.
- Account creation, identity verification, and account opening are subject to the requirements of our licensed partners and applicable law in your market. We may decline to create an account, or limit access to features, where those requirements are not met.
- You are responsible for keeping your account credentials, device, and any authentication factors secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs through your account.
- If you suspect your account or device has been compromised, you must contact us at hello@monobank.com without undue delay.
- Accounts created by automated means, or used to impersonate another person, are not permitted.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Services to:
- break any applicable law or regulation, or facilitate anyone else doing so;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, system, or data;
- interfere with, disrupt, reverse-engineer, scrape, or place an unreasonable load on the Services, or attempt to circumvent any security or rate-limiting controls;
- upload or transmit malware, harmful code, or content that is unlawful, infringing, deceptive, or abusive;
- use the Services to send unsolicited communications, conduct fraud, or carry out activity prohibited by our licensed partners;
- resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit any part of the Services without our prior written consent.
We may suspend or close access to the Services if we reasonably believe these Terms or applicable law have been breached.
Financial services and licensed partners
Where the Services give you access to a regulated financial product — for example, a payment account or card — that product is issued or provided by an authorized partner in your market. The terms of that product (including fees, limits, eligibility, dispute handling, and complaints) are set by the relevant partner and are presented to you, and accepted by you, separately from these Terms.
In the event of any conflict between these Terms and the terms of a regulated product issued by a licensed partner, the partner’s terms govern that product.
MONOBANK is responsible for the operation of the website and the app itself, and for the way we handle your interactions with us through them.
Intellectual property
The Services, including the website, the application, software, designs, text, graphics, the MONOBANK name, logo, and other brand elements, are owned by Monobank Inc. or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Services for their intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from any part of the Services, or use the MONOBANK name or logo, without our prior written permission.
Third-party names, logos, or marks referenced on the Services remain the property of their respective owners and are used for identification purposes only.
Your data and privacy
How we collect and process personal data when you use the Services is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Services, you confirm that you have read the Privacy Policy.
Where the Services involve a regulated financial product, the relevant licensed partner may also process your personal data as a controller for that product, on the terms made available to you by that partner.
Availability of the Services
We aim to keep the website and the app available and working correctly, but we do not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available in every market or on every device. We may add, change, suspend, or remove features at any time, particularly during the staged rollout.
The Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, except where such warranties cannot be excluded by applicable law.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MONOBANK and its officers, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Services.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including liability for fraud, gross negligence, or willful misconduct.
Termination
You may stop using the Services at any time. Where the Services include an account, you can request account closure by contacting us at hello@monobank.com, subject to any further steps required by our licensed partners for any regulated product associated with your account.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services if we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached, if required by law, by a regulator, or by a licensed partner, or if continuing to provide the Services would expose us, our partners, or other users to material risk.
On termination, the provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive will continue to apply, including those relating to intellectual property, limitation of liability, and the resolution of disputes.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change is material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you — for example, via the website, the app, or the email address on record. By continuing to use the Services after changes take effect, you agree to the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Monobank Inc. is established, except where mandatory consumer protection rules in your country of residence give you stronger rights, in which case those rules apply.
